STOMPING OUT THOSE REDS
"China Won't Send Envoy to Pope's Funeral," reads the Yahoo! headline above the A.P. article.

Of course they won't. After all, the Catholic Church is illegal in China. They'll do all sorts of nasty stuff to you if you're a member of it. Like imprison you, burn your church to the ground, and knock off a few of your parishioners just for kicks.

Heard of the late Cardinal Kung? "Long live Christ the King! Long live the Pope!" He's dead. Well, yes, he died in Connecticut just a few years ago, but that was after being imprisoned for three decades because he wouldn't submit to the false authority of the Communist version of the Catholic Church.

Read John Paul II's spiritual last testament?
In some Countries[...], the Church is undergoing a period of such persecution as to be in no way lesser than that of early centuries, indeed it surpasses them in its degree of cruelty and hatred.
(I haven't been able to find a link to the testament yet, sorry.)

But you wouldn't find any inkling of that in the Yahoo! article. Oh no. The real reason China won't be sending an envoy to the Pope's funeral is because the Vatican has diplomatic relations with Taiwan. Sure...

Maybe it's the other way ‘round, and the Church doesn't want those Communists stinking up the throne of Peter.

And the A.P. photo Yahoo! attaches to article is no better. It shows a Chinese man praying during morning mass at a church in Beijing. While I appreciate the man's devotion to God, I'm saddened by his capitulation to the Communists. We're not all called to martyrdom...

But it is a shame that neither Yahoo! nor the A.P. are called at least to the truth.

Long live Christ the King, indeed.

I see you...
